Kevin Mills– Artist Statement

I am a purest and a minimalist to the core. The day I learned of "less is more" was a good day.

Full scale architecture requires a spanning attention. Working models are for kids… and play is king.

All my pieces are dwellings for light. Some, at 10 stories high, would make a cool perch in the middle of a hot desert.

Herding photons is worse than cats. Everything shows. A shadow can ruin your day.

Balanced compositions using the fewest components is job one.

In the best cases, I arrive at an elegant minimalism where cold 3-Dimensional materials are coupled with warm 1-dimensional light.
