Linda Fry Poverman – Artist Statement

The support and inspiration for these collages is a cyanotype photograph, a sun print. I love the blue, yet there is so much of it, it poses a challenge as well. I let the image lead me and use any media I feel works to come to the final piece. I have always worked in collage along with any other art I am doing at the time. It’s freeing, patient and allows me to use it as a meditation.
