Kimberly Curry – Artist Statement

At the last minute, I was assigned to partner with Daniella Woolf. She is an amazing artist and we clicked so easily. The work reflects that union.

While her work offered handwritten fonts in a tight vertical format, I wanted a response that was open and light, while still honoring the black and white color scheme. Texture played a large role in both pieces as well.

Working with a great partner was like finding a new playmate. Together we explored new possibilities and it pushed me in a direction I had not before considered.
